Unforeseen Identity

I collaborated with MA Commercial Photography student Darcey Thompson and BA Fashion Communication & Promotion student Maya Balasubramaniam on a photoshoot entitled ‘Unforeseen Identity’ focusing on mental health difficulties following to the pandemic. The shoot took several weeks of articulate planning and preparation to create our vision, our aims were to create a series of images depicting the subject coping with the guilt of lost time and the misconception of their own identity. Collectively, we decided to shoot in an outdoors location which benefitted conceptually to feeling lost in oneself and detached from the present. We delegated tasks based on key strengths, my contributions included initial planning, creative direction and photo editing using Adobe Lightroom. I showcased effective collaboration skills in a deadline driven environment, and excelled in a team setting by showing strong, confident communication at all times.
